*We do not accept Mail In projects from July 13th-December 31st each year due to peak season, bows mailed in after July 13th will be returned to sender with no service performed*

If you are needing new strings and cables and also want our Stage 3 tune package right to your front door, we have you covered! This package includes a new GAS Bowstrings High Octane string set, installation, paper tuning, broadhead tuning, troubleshooting the gremlins that are plaguing your bow system and making your bow better than when it was new. There are no corners cut in this all inclusive Mail In Stage 3 tune package.
GAS Restring & Stage 3 Tune Pacakge Includes
- Installing new GAS Bowstrings High Octane strings of your selected colors in the options below (Ghost VX are available by contacting us)
- Install new nock point and d loop
- Reinstall peep to your current peep height then tie in after confirming height
- Adjust rest to correct setting (See #4 in FAQ below for more information)
- Set draw length and weight to specified settings (See #5 in FAQ below for more information)
- Set cam timing and cam lean where applicable
- Paper Tune which can cover adjusting yokes, adjusting nock height, adjusting center shot, cam timing, arrow rest timing, computer arrow spine check, many more tricks of the trade.
- Walk Back Line Tuning to further perfect center shot

EXCLUSIVE BROADHEAD TUNING which covers a plethora of tuning methods to ensure that your broadhead hits with your field points or it does not leave!
- Sight Setup & Leveling for 1st, 2nd and 3rd Axis where applicable for maximum performance in the field to ensure accuracy at any angle (See #10in FAQ below for more information)
- We typically spend 3-4 hours minimum on your bow throughout the full tuning process to ensure we are satisfied with your tune. If we aren't happy with how it's tuned, it wont leave until we are. (See #11 in FAQ below for more information)
- We use a combination of Dalton personally shooting your bow by hand as well as using the Bowsmith Pro machine to tune your bow (See #12 in FAQ below for more information)
What Do I Need To Send With My Bow?
- Bow
- 4 Arrows (If sending your current arrows)
- Sight (Attached to the bow or in the box)
- Arrow Rest (Attached to the bow or in the box)
- Any stabilizers/quiver/wrist slings/etc
- Broadhead (If sending your current one for tuning)

Option 1:
- Customer is responsible for their own shipping cost, insurance, label, box/case to ship bow to our pro shop.
- Take a picture prior to boxing any items that will be going with your bow. Also print out your order sheet or include a written note with your name and order number that our system provides at checkout.

- We ship a bow box with packing materials and label to you, you box up your bow and any associated parts we need. Apply label to box, drop off at your nearest UPS or USPS office.
- Take a picture prior to boxing any items that will be going with your bow. Also print out your order sheet or include a written note with your name and order number that our system provides at checkout.
- Shipping price at checkout is credit towards cost to ship bow back to you
- Cost to return case/box subject to current market price adjustment at time of return or if box/case size exceeds our maximum calculated size

Important Policy Information
- Better Outdoors LLC is not responsible for damage during shipping in any capacity.
- Better Outdoors LLC is not responsible if bow is found to have limb damage, cam damage or any other damage from customers use from shooting, hunting, tuning, misuse or any issue stated in bow manufactuer warranty information
- Please allow 14-21 days after we receive string set from GAS (not just from the time we recieve your bow) before shipment back to you to ensure proper tuning and proper care taken with your equipment so that it is up to our standards.
- Shipping prices can vary due to location, we will contact you if we require additional funds to complete shipping all directions
- Shipping prices quoted are for the USA Lower 48 states. Additional costs apply for Hawaii, Alaska as well as Canada. Service unavailable outside of the USA and Canada. Contact us for HI/AK/Canada shipping option.
- If you select custom bow matched arrows, we will contact you after receiving your order to discuss the best combo to fit your needs and to take payment.
- Mail In Program is Only Available from January 1st-June 30th each year
FAQ & Additional Information

How long does it typically take for strings to come in before you start to service my bow? During Jan 1st - June 30th, we typically can have your custom strings to us and ready to install within 2 weeks. Some model bows we do have strings in stock for in a variety of colors to expedite that aspect.

Can I ship my brand new Mathews or Bear bow to you for GAS strings, full setup, purchase all accessories from you, adjust the draw length and weight as well as the Stage 3 tune process? Yes you can! Contact us after checkout so that we can walk you through the additional information we require as well as purchasing accessories to get your new bow up and running

#4 Additonal upcharge of $25 will be invoiced after purchase of tune to install or setup a customer supplied rest (Rest setup and install is free if purchased from Better Outdoors)

#5 Some bows require different modules, cams, limbs and strings to change draw length or weight and will add additonal cost. Some bow also are not capable of adjusting to the specifications you require due to technical limits

#10 Additional upcharge of $25 will be invoiced after purchase of tune to install or setup a customer supplied pin or slider sight. We do not set any pins or sight tape distances past 20yds. Garmin sights are an additional $65 (All Sight setup and install is free if sight is purchased from Better Outdoors)

#11 Some bows end up having technical issues from draw length settings, certain bow/arrow/broadhead combinations will not tune properly, some bows are not designed to be tuned to this level. In the case of a major technical issue listed above we will contact you with specific information.

#12 The biggest variable in tuning can be the shooter. By using a combination of Dalton hand shooting the bow as well the Bowsmith Pro, we can address the equipment side of issues. We do find in very limited cases where a customer does not achieve those results due to grip/wrist torque, facial pressure on the string or other form issues. If this is an issue, we do offer remote coaching to help improve your form for an additional $75.00 an hour
- If customer supplies a string & cable set, installation is an additional $30
