BOW REVIEW: 2019 Mathews Traverse Review, Shooting and Speed Test

2019 Mathews Traverse: Do It All...Well

For 2019 Mathews released the pinnacle of the Halon design that can do it all, the Traverse. This bow features the venerable Crosscentric Cam System proven since the original Halon series bows. What has changed however is the Engage grip that provides a slightly higher wrist than previous Flatback grips. The Traverse also features a riser design that is more deflexed than previous Halon style bows for a more forgiving platform. Pair that with the Traverse's 33" axle to axle length and 6 5/8" brace height and you now have a bow that crosses over from strictly bowhunting onto target archery as well as recreational archery. The Traverse also comes in at a 338 IBO which is awesome speed for this type of bow. We highly recommend this bow as well for a long draw hunter that wants a shorter more compact bow that can reach on up to 32.5" draw length. This bow would be a great option as a strictly target bow for those toward its minimum draw length of 26.5".
